Account Deletion Conditions

Understand the process and requirements for deleting your Rentauras account

At Rentauras, we respect the right of our users to request the deletion of their account and personal data in accordance with applicable regulations.

1. Account deletion request

Users can request the permanent deletion of their Rentauras account at any time:

  • Directly from the Rentauras app via the "Delete my account" option available in the profile settings.
  • By contacting our team at: contact@rentauras.com.

If you can no longer access your account, you may request its deletion by sending an email to contact@rentauras.com specifying the email address associated with your Rentauras account.

2. Prerequisites for deletion

To protect users, partner agencies, and the integrity of the platform, account deletion can only be carried out if the following conditions are met:

  • No rental is currently in progress.
  • No claim, incident, or dispute case is open.
  • No refund is pending processing.
  • No security deposit is being held or under review.
  • No amount is owed to Rentauras or a partner agency.

If any of these conditions is not met, account deletion may be temporarily postponed until the relevant situation is resolved.

3. Data deleted

Once the request has been validated and processed, Rentauras will delete or anonymize personal data that is no longer required for legal or regulatory obligations, including:

  • User profile information.
  • Login credentials.
  • Personal contact details.
  • Identity documents and driving license, subject to applicable legal obligations.
  • Preferences and account data.

4. Data retained

Certain information may be retained for a limited period when required by law or when necessary to:

  • Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
  • Prevent fraud and ensure platform security.
  • Manage ongoing claims, disputes, or investigations.
  • Retain payment records and financial transactions.

This data will remain protected and will only be retained for the period required by applicable regulations.

5. Processing time

Deletion requests are generally processed within a maximum of 30 days from the date of validation.

6. Consequences of deletion

Once the account is deleted:

  • Access to the Rentauras app and services will be permanently deactivated.
  • Past bookings will no longer be accessible from the user account.
  • Some data may remain archived in compliance with applicable legal obligations.
  • Account deletion is final and cannot be reversed.
